Before he ever went live, Nick Matau spent nearly twelve years in the United States Navy — a nuclear engineer who served aboard submarines. He grew up in California, raised from the age of one by a Samoan father who taught him to stand with the Jewish people, a conviction that would come to define his work.
When campus encampments swept the country after October 2023, Nick drove to UC Berkeley, stood in front of roughly a hundred protesters with an Israeli flag in hand, and started a conversation. That moment became a mission.
Today, at 32, he is one of the most-watched independent voices defending Israel online — going live almost every night to talk history, faith, and facts with anyone willing to sit across from him. His work has been featured in Israel Hayom and The Jerusalem Post.
